The purpose of the webpage is to give insight to the reader about the Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment and it's lasting effects on America, as well as the African American community. The Tuskegee Syphilis Experiment took place between the years 1932-1972. With it's very unethical research methods, it has left a scar on American history. This website works to give you the relevant information to the study, as well as the ways it is still relevant today. African Americans have a great deal of mistrust still with the medical community because of the actions taken by medical professionals in 1932. America has had to work, and is still working, on rebuilding the trust of African Americans as well as having a healthy relationship. Look through the different tabs to learn the facts, and also check out my blog! The blog takes the Tuskegee experiment and applies it in different ways, specifically focusing on the racism and unethical procedures during the experiment and how they have affected America and people today. Hopefully, you'll learn a great deal through this site!
